February Break Camp: Spreading Their Wings!
By the middle of the week Ring Toss was being field tested and "Throw a ball at the target and it comes back to you" was basically complete, with a couple really dedicated tinkerers perfecting some finicky spots. The ticket booth had walls and a counter - it just needed some decorative wall art for atmosphere and, of course, tickets!
With a huge sense of accomplishment and confidence through the roof, the oldest tinkerers, were ready to create their own Carnival Games - no adults necessary.
A group of the oldest tinkerers immediately got started on a Test of Strength game. With so many excited people working on one project things could have gotten out of control. However, this group worked so well together, discussing each other's ideas, splitting up tasks, and even shopping out some artwork to other tinkerers that were more inclined with artistic renderings. Their machine took shape quickly!
Izzie was set on a Moving Target game and had a design ready and started construction on her own! She asked for help when she needed it and got a dedicated helper or two.
The rest of the tinkerers began work on some more complex games than the first round. We started work on Ski-ball Frog-Bog and Feed the Cyclops! Each of these games had at least one moving part or expanded on an idea from one of the more basic games. We really set our ambitions high - we wanted to have so much fun on Friday! Were we going to finish them all in time!?
